How do I signup to commentate on BBO?
1. go to the BBO Vugraph schedule page.
2. Login with your BBO name and password (upper right corner)
3. You should see: logged in as <your BBOname> (commentator)
4. Pick find the event and pick the session(s) you prefer.

I can't login to the schedule page. Help!

I'd like to do voice commentary. What special equipment do I need?
A $10 headset is it!

Can anyone do voice?
Yes. Just sign up for voice on the vugraph schedule page. Alternatively, ask any yellow to add you to the voice server during the vugraph session.

How do I use the BBO Voice Commentary Controls?
Visit the BBO Help on Using Voice. We suggest that you set up a teaching table and practice there before you try to use voice on vugraph.

BBO Player Profiles
Click on a player name in BBO to open a pop-up window with their profile. The window displays picture and biography plus links to System Summary Form, ACBL Convention card, WBF convention card (when we have it), WBF player record and NABC+ firsts & seconds.

The Tournament Format


What is the tournament format?
The tournament is a double-elimination, IMP-scored knockout with four stages. Two teams will be selected to represent the US in the Venice Cup (USA 1 and USA 2).

About The Tournament


What is the 2013 United States Bridge Championship?
The Women's United States Bridge Championship (USBC) is the tournament to select two teams to represent the USA in the 2013 Venice Cup Bowl. It was formerly known as “The Women's US Team Trials.”

Where is it occurring?
At the Buena Vista Palace Hotel, Orlando, Florida.

When?
July 12 -- July 18, 2013

Who can enter?
Any group of 4-6 USBF women may enter. 

Is Entry still open?
No, entries are now closed.

How many teams will compete in 2013?
Sixteen teams entered in 2013. 

How many teams will qualify to play in the Venice Cup?
Two teams.

When and where will the 2013 Venice Cup occur?
Bali, Indonesia, Sept. 16-30, 2013


About the USBF


What is the USBF?
The United States Bridge Federation is an independent Bridge organization that sponsors United States Bridge Championship tournaments to select teams for international competition and subsequently provides training and support for those teams.

What is the USBF’s Relationship to the ACBL?
The USBF was formed in 2001 by the ACBL and ABA as an independent organization. It receives some financial support from the ACBL but is largely self-supporting via membership dues, voluntary contributions and entry fees. It is separately governed.

Who Governs the USBF?
The USBF Board of Directors

What other tournaments does the USBF sponsor? How often?
The USBF sponsors championship tournaments in four divisions:
  • Open. A USBC tournament occurs every year. 
  • Junior. A USJBC tournament occurs every other year. 
  • Women. A USWBC tournament occurs in 3 of every 4 years. 
  • Senior. A USSBC tournament occurs in 3 of every 4 years.
